Siem Reap: His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has welcomed the opening of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in private schools, considering it an important partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training in developing human resources for the labor market.

This statement was made on the morning of July 21, 2026, at the graduation ceremony for students of South-East Asia University, held at Sokha Hotel, Siem Reap.

The Prime Minister stated that the participation of private institutions in TVET training is an important factor in expanding learning opportunities and improving the practical skills of young people to respond to the changing needs of the labor market.

The King also encouraged closer collaboration between the state, educational institutions, and the private sector to ensure that training provides truly applicable skills and helps students have opportunities to get jobs or start their own businesses after graduation.

The Royal Government of Cambodia is continuing to promote the development of the education and TVET sectors, focusing on the quality of training and matching skills with labor market needs to strengthen Cambodia's competitiveness in attracting investment and sustainable economic development.
