Hà Nội: Mưa lớn đã gây lũ quét và sạt lở đất ở các vùng núi phía Bắc Việt Nam, khiến 4 người thiệt mạng, 4 người mất tích và ít nhất 9 người bị thương tính đến sáng ngày 19 tháng 7 năm 2026.
Tỉnh Lai Châu bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề nhất. Mưa lớn từ đêm ngày 16 đến sáng ngày 17 tháng 7 đã gây lũ quét và sạt lở đất ở một số thôn thuộc xã Muang Thanh. Các khu vực bị ảnh hưởng bao gồm thôn Chit, thôn Nam Sang, khu vực Nhóm 11 và một số địa điểm khác.
Lũ lụt từ trên núi xuống đã cuốn trôi nhà cửa, đường sá, ruộng đồng và đường dây điện. Chính quyền báo cáo rằng 21 nhà bị sập, 144 nhà bị hư hại và 64 nhà bị ảnh hưởng bởi lũ lụt và sạt lở đất ở các tỉnh Lai Châu, Lào Cai, Điện Biên và Sơn La.
275 hộ gia đình đã được sơ tán khẩn cấp khỏi các khu vực có nguy cơ lũ lụt và sạt lở đất. Khoảng 696 ha lúa và các loại cây trồng khác bị thiệt hại, trong khi nhiều gia súc bị chết.
Tại xã Muang Thanh, một số nhà cửa đã bị cuốn trôi và vùi lấp dưới bùn. Quốc lộ 32, Quốc lộ 279 và một số tuyến đường làng bị sạt lở, gây khó khăn cho công tác cứu hộ và vận chuyển hàng hóa đến các khu vực bị ảnh hưởng.
Bộ Công an đã điều động hơn 10.000 cán bộ, chiến sĩ và hơn 200 xe tham gia tìm kiếm người mất tích, cứu hộ và dọn dẹp bùn đất.
Trung tâm Khí tượng Việt Nam cảnh báo khu vực miền núi phía Bắc vẫn đang phải đối mặt với mưa lớn, lũ quét và sạt lở đất. Chính quyền địa phương đang tiếp tục các hoạt động tìm kiếm 4 người mất tích và sơ tán người dân ở các khu vực nguy hiểm.
