Cambodia lodges formal protest with Thailand over border activities, calls for an end to sovereignty violations
Phnom Penh: The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has submitted an official letter of protest to the Royal Government of Thailand, expressing its strong opposition to the activities that Cambodia considers to have continued to violate its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the border area. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cambodia stated that there have been ongoing activities by the Thai side in the border area that Cambodia considers to be inconsistent with the agreement and affect national sovereignty. Therefore, Cambodia demands that the Thai side immediately stop such activities and respect the existing agreements between the two countries.
