Banteay Meanchey: The Anti-Narcotics Bureau, in collaboration with the Ochrov Police Station, arrested three Thai suspects in two operations in Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province, on July 20, 2026.
The operation was led by Brigadier General Thin Sindet, Deputy Commissioner of Anti-Narcotics Planning of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police, after authorities received information from citizens that there was suspicious activity related to drug crimes.
After receiving the information, the expert forces identified the location and monitored the target before conducting an operation on a public road in Kbal Spean 1 village, Ochrov commune, Poipet city. In this first operation, authorities arrested two Thai suspects.
The two suspects are:
Parivet Thongmeun, alias Mon, male, 26 years old, Thai.
Jiraksak Sarakrat, alias Kep, male, 31 years old, Thai.
Authorities reported that evidence seized from the first operation included one bag of POD K and three e-cigarettes or vape pens.
On the same day, the task force continued its operation in Borey Duong Chan, in Samaki Meanchey Village, O’Chrov Sangkat, Poipet City, and arrested another suspect, Karan Kanbokeo, alias Ok, a 47-year-old Thai national.
In the second operation, authorities seized 16 bags of pre-packaged POD K, one e-cigarette, and two mobile phones.
The three suspects and the evidence have now been sent to the Anti-Narcotics Bureau for questioning, case preparation, and legal action. This arrest is a preliminary charge, while the suspect is presumed innocent until a final court verdict is reached.
