Coupang warehouse fire in South Korea continues for 2nd day

A massive fire broke out at Coupang's 32nd cargo delivery center in Seo-gu, Incheon, South Korea, at 6:54 a.m. on July 18, 2026.
The fire reportedly started on the sixth floor before spreading along the exterior walls to the seventh floor. Because the warehouse was filled with flammable goods, boxes, and packaging materials, firefighters had difficulty reaching the source of the fire.
At the time of the incident, 121 employees who were in the building were able to safely evacuate. However, new reports say two firefighters were injured in the blaze.
Authorities have issued a Level 2 response and sent hundreds of firefighters, vehicles and equipment to the scene. As of July 19, the fire was still not completely extinguished and there were concerns about the structural safety of the building.
